Black Beans PVD

In 2022, DCD partnered with local small businesses to help them recover from the impacts of COVID. Our 22 Summer Design/Build Studio participants created seating and furnishings for Black Beans PVD, a brand new black-owned restaurant located in the West End of Providence. At the client’s request, our young designers incorporated elements of woodwork created by the owner’s late father into the seating surfaces, honoring family and celebrating nourishment.
