After reviewing many fantastic client pitches last week, our students decided on their clients for Summer 2021: Providence Public Library and the West End Recreation Center!

Our Design / Build Students headed to Providence Public Library (PPL) on Wednesday to tour their space, learn about all the services the library has to offer, and take measurements of their back patio and parking lot. The students will be designing accessible garden beds for these spaces so that gardeners of all ages and abilities can learn and grow at PPL!

Meanwhile, our Creative Change students toured the West End Recreation Center, interviewing rec center kids and staff to better learn about the community. Creative Change students also documented the entrance area that they will redesign in order to make it more lively and welcoming for all that visit it!

Después de revisar muchas fantásticas propuestas de los clientes la semana pasada, nuestros estudiantes eligieron sus clientes para el verano de 2021: ¡La Biblioteca Pública de Providence y el Centro recreativo del West End!

Nuestros estudiantes de Design/Build se dirigieron a la Biblioteca Pública de Providence (PPL) el miércoles para recorrer su espacio, aprender sobre todos los servicios que la biblioteca tiene para ofrecer y tomar medidas de su patio trasero y estacionamiento. ¡Los estudiantes diseñarán camas de jardín accesibles para estos espacios para que los jardineros de todas las edades y habilidades puedan aprender y crecer en PPL!

Mientras tanto, nuestros estudiantes de Creative Change recorrieron el Centro recreativo de West End y entrevistaron a los niños y al personal del centro  para aprender más sobre la comunidad. ¡Los estudiantes de Creative Change también documentaron el área de entrada que rediseñarán para hacerla más animada y acogedora para todos los que la visiten!
